A 1/8″ change in pulley diameter is approximately 1psi of boost so a 1/8″ larger pulley will cause a 1psi boost loss. The cure for this problem is to install the correct pulley size. Underdrive Crankshaft Pulley: Kenne Bell kits are typically designed for the stock crankshaft pulley. Undersized (underdrive) pulleys will reduce boost. Boost is determined by dividing the crankshaft pulley size by the supercharger pulley.
